I might scrap this site and do something else. Instead of essays I'll write in a different format. I don't feel I have the storytelling chops to write good ones. Maybe I'm a perfectionist?
Blogging doesn't fit either. It makes me into a one-man newspaper. Bad. Regardless of how informal or friendly I write posts, they feel off.
Actually, I like impromptu speaking the best. I love live feedback and instant creation. So I'm switching to conversational mediums. I prefer talking directly to people, or groups.
Now I'm exploring these: Google Wave, Email (maybe mailing lists), EtherPad, Posterous or some combination. I'd like to do audio and video eventually too.
My new view: Conversations work best when I start them with actual people first. With essays and blogs, I feel I'm writing to a person but only in the abstract. That feels off. Why not actually write to a person directly instead? I can always make that conversation public.
